Marketing and business meetups in Bangkok

By the Editorial team. Reviewed October 2026.

Most English-language business events in Bangkok fall into a few types. Each draws a different crowd, so the right one depends on who you want to meet.

Chamber of commerce events

National chambers, including AmCham Thailand and the British Chamber of Commerce Thailand, run regular networking evenings, breakfast briefings and talks. Members pay less, but most events are open to non-members for a fee. The audience leans toward senior managers at larger firms and service providers who sell to them.

Industry and marketing meetups

Smaller meetups focus on a single field, such as digital marketing, e-commerce, start-ups or design. They are often free or cheap and held in coworking spaces or bars. Speakers tend to be practitioners, and the talks are practical. Agency staff often attend, so marketing meetups are a reasonable place to meet agencies before hiring one.

Conferences and trade shows

Large trade shows at venues such as the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center and IMPACT Muang Thong Thani draw international exhibitors. They are useful for finding suppliers in one place, less so for conversation.

Finding events

Chamber websites list their own events. For smaller meetups, Meetup, Eventbrite, LinkedIn and LINE groups are where organisers post. Many groups meet on a regular cycle, such as the first Tuesday of each month, so once you find one you like, the next date is easy to predict.

Getting something from the evening

Decide before you go who you want to meet and what you want to learn. Two good conversations are worth more than twenty business cards. In Thailand, a LINE contact is often more useful than an email address, so have your QR code ready.

Follow up within two days with a short message that mentions what you talked about. If you promised an introduction or a link, send it then.

Costs

Chamber events typically charge non-members more than members, and the ticket often includes drinks and snacks. Free meetups usually expect you to buy a drink at the venue. Check on the event page whether advance registration is required, since some venues limit numbers.
